January 3rd, 2014
We are looking forward to seeing students and families back on Monday. Just a reminder of a few things as we prepare for the Winter months…..
1) Students need to dress warmly – layers is perfect. Students go outside for Nutrition Breaks twice each day. If the weather (including Wind Chill) is -20 degrees Celsius, or colder, we remain inside. We generally use the University of Waterloo weather station (click here for their site) .
2) Parking – in order to keep students safe, we require parents who choose to drive, to drop-off and pick-up children at locations other than our parking lot. It cannot handle the volume of traffic. Park along our various side streets.
3) Family Science Night... on Monday January 27th from 6-8 PM. The ENTIRE family is welcome to come out and participate in some great ESQ Waterloo activities. This is event is being paid for by a grant from the Ministry of Education.
4) Communication with teachers – this is a reminder that if you want to meet your child’s teacher, please feel free to contact them via planner, note, phone call, or email. We are here to help!
5) DREAMBOX math – we are fortunate to have a donor purchase licenses for each student to use DREAMBOX. Your child has a username and password. Find DREAMBOX at: https://play.dreambox.com/login/by5s/cedarbraeps
6) Inclement Weather– please listen to news stations, check our website, Twitter Account, and the WRDSB’s website for information about school closing during inclement weather.
